Hi,
CSS asks a lot of questions about parent’s assets. But do we have to disclose them all? Like every land and vehicle owned?
Hi,

All real estate DOES need to be included. Some schools ask for cars…so if it’s on the Profile…you are required to provide the info.
Do you know that receiving aid by providing knowingly false info is considered fraud?
Provide all of the assets asked for on the Profile.
I am not providing knowingly false info. I am providing no info at all.
And basically, every company you know uses loopholes to evade taxes.
If you have assets that you are not reporting, that is fraudulent. It’s not complicated.
If you don’t submit CSS profile at all, it is not a fraud.
If you know the true assets are something other than $0, and you put $0, you most certainly are providing false info.
Providing $0 for assets when you have more than that is FRAUD.
You run the risk of not only losing any aid you might fraudulently receive…but you could, also be booted out of the college for dishonesty. Colleges do frown on dishonestly.
If you don’t plan to honestly answer those questions, you are committing fraud.
