<p>If you're referring to the PDF supplements to the Common App, I think you have to print them out and mail them in. Though if there is a way to submit them online I'd love to hear about it.</p>

<p>ooohhh, there are ways to type into them, if you have Adobe Acrobat Professional you can edit the PDF and insert text. Or you can print-screen the PDF, paste it into Photoshop, and use the text tool to get your answers in...</p>
