Filling out the BU supplement - current coursework

Freshman Applicants: Please list all academic courses you plan to complete in your senior year of high school.

On the right, we’re supposed to fill Term/Block. How do I fill this? I dont understand what this means. Also, it wants to know what classes we plan to complete… what if I can’t fit all my courses? Which courses should I prioritze over others?

For Social Sciences - would that include AP US Government & Politics or American History?

I put a general schedule into the form and then put my full schedule and an explanation of it in the "additional info" box. It's up to you how to fill it out, I guess.

Well, first of all it asks to list what classes you PLAN to complete, not what you are definitely taking. Put down what you plan on taking...BU sees your transcript anyway and will verify what courses you took compared to what you planned to take. And unless there is a "history" section, I guess you would include the history courses under social sciences...it's really up to you how you fill it out...as long as you don't put it under "literature" or anything like that.

Along the same lines...it asks for the class most recently completed in a subject. I dropped Spanish this year (would have been Spanish 4) should I still list Spanish 3 even though I am NOT taking it this year, but it was my last course taken in the subject.

I asked my college counselor and she told me to "check around". soo umm.. I come to you guys.. lol

Yeah, it was your course most recently completed...give them what they ask for. They're gonna have your transcript anyway, so they'll see what you finally decide to take.

doesnt it say to put the courses you're talking/completing this year? why would you put a course from the previous year?

Freshman Applicants: Please list all academic courses you plan to complete in your senior year of high school.

yeah I am a little confused on the Term/Block section as well... are they looking for numbers? I currently have "year" in those boxes to indicate that my classes are full year... is that correct?

Listing the most recently completed courses are for transfer applicants, if they are not currently taking classes. As far as the term/block thing goes, I have no idea.

so if this year i dont have a foreign language class do i just leave that section blank? and since i have more than one "other" course, do i just put more than on ein that section? this seems wrong but i dont know what else to do.

I think you are right on both counts. For example, I have two science classes this year. They obviously don't fit in any of the other categories, so I just put them in the same field.

For term/block my counsellor suggested to write either Full Year or Semester... if that helps you any.

The only problem with ever_after's suggestion is that they don't always fit. Like this year, I happened to have three classes that fell under social sciences. There's a limit on the number of characters you can put into each box and you definitely can't fit three full or even abbreviated course titles into it.

thanks for all of your answers. this part really confused me for some reason. one of those. thanks.
