I'm currently a Film and Media Studies major at UCSB and a Screenwriting major at Loyola Marymount University. I aspire to be a screenwriter when I'm older, but I hate LMU. The campus and people remind me of the cliquey high school atmosphere that I have now. Although the program is phenomenal, I really can't picture myself there and I can't see myself being happy.
However, I love UCSB. The campus and people all seem great, and I really can picture myself there. The only problem is that there is no film program at UCSB comparable to LMU's. I know that there are screenwriting clubs and some screenwriting classes and such, but is there anything else opportunity-wise I should know about UCSB in regards to film before I commit to a college experience at LMU I think will be sub-par? I want UCSB so bad.

BUMP…anyone?

Did you ever find your solution?? I’m facing the exact same problem now haha

No!!! No one is giving me any insight haha. What are people telling you?

Absolutely nothing haha, did you get accepted to both or are you considering applying? If you don’t mind what are your grades, SAT scores, etc. ? I think that I would rather go to UCSB just because I wouldn’t be creative in an environment in which I am in miserable in.
