I am really wondering how my horrible sat's will apply even with my legacy and hook...and are my sat II's really bad too?

"SAT: 680 m/690 v"

you're chances look slim. look at more realistic schools. yale, without legacy, is completely out of your league, harvard isn't just because of the legacy. So, look at more realistic schools. Sadly, you hook isn't that much of a hook, because it isn't uncommon.

Thanks for your advice...the yale and harvard professor said I was one of the only and best applying for film...and I am the youngest filmmaker ever to be screened by sundance...I am really that common?

wait ranger29, nevermind...I've looked at your other posts and you basically say no one will get in Harvard or Yale...I know I have a slim chance at harvard and yale...what about the other places?

Eh? Selling a movie to Sundance is common? Sounds like an amazing accomplishment to me. I'd accept you based on that alone. You've got pretty good chances.

that's not true. I say what is the truth. I've said to several people that have great shots. but when you're apply to HYP with under 1400s, you have to be reasonable, my friend. reading you're orginal post, you didn't say as much about film, but with the more details given, you do look more enticing. however, i personally know a "recruited" athlete, supposedly a hockey player the coach wanted desperately, reject from yale EA, and similar stories with other ivies. the point is, while they say they like you, once you apply, they can do whatever they want.

its not what you want to hear probably, but its the truth.

sorry if I sounded shrill...whatever happens, thanks for your advice ranger29

Alas, Harvard's loss could be your gain. Go ahead and apply (I would) but, if things don't work out remember that Wesleyan has the best film dept. north of NYC.
