I found how you can see what courses are offered this summer and in the fall. I’m looking for in general what courses are offered at Marquette to see if there’s anything he might be interested in taking over the course of his time there. May not satisfy a minor or even core curriculum, but would be enjoyable classes to take while in college.

Special thanks to a mom who told me how to find them, by searching Undergraduate Bulletin, and getting the whole catalog. This is what I’ve been looking for!

Anyway, for others interested in film courses, seems there’s one in the English department, under College of Arts and Sciences, as well as some under the Communications school, under Film category. That’s why I couldn’t find it. Didn’t realize it would be under the School of Communications, rather than the College of Arts and Sciences.

Anyway, will be on the lookout for registering for those courses. Whether they “count” or not, would highly recommend them. I took a History of Film or Intro to Film in college as a humanities elective, and got to see some really great films. We used to watch a film, then write an essay on it afterwards. Also took one where we would alternate going to campus plays and watching movies, then wrote essay on them afterwards. One class I didn’t mind having to write a paper for!

Current and future Marquette students, check these out!
