I was wondering what were some schools i could apply to to major in film. At the moment i want to be either a Driector or screenwriter.

So if i decide that i no longer want to be a director and just a screenwriter should i then just major in Creative Writing or something of that nature.

And keep in mind i live in GA so if you could name some in the south i's appreciate it. But im not above moving.

Louisiana:
- Tulane

Florida:
- University of Miami
- Florida State

Georgia:
- UGA

USC, UCLA, NYU, Cal Tech....

Then maybe Chapman or Emerson as safeties?

If you really want to stay in the South, University of Miami or UCF.

i heard chapman has a really good film program that in the next fews years will rivel usc film department (i dont really know about that) if your up for a change in enviornment try that

Actually could I ask the same question except for the Northeast? What else would be good recommendale besides Emerson?

if i just wanted to be i screenwriter would i still major in film or creative writing

BU for film or creative writing as well.

You could double major in both. Or major in one and minor in the other.

Chapman's film school is not a safety. It has a 10% acceptance rate. USC, NYU, Chapman, and UCLA are the best film schools.
