So we should know tomorrow then. I hope we find out really soon. Tomorrow would be great, especially since it’s my last day of the semester.

Nothing today. It’s Friday and there goes another week of waiting.

Just called…“There trying to get all the decisions for transfer students out as soon as possible.” “Your going to here before June 1st”…GREAT! #@$@%^

Blah, let’s keep waiting.

Same old stuff…more and more waiting.

Okay, here’s an update from the “head of the Transfer Process” at Chapman:

“Chapman University is still accepting applications for most majors up until June 1, 2009 for interested transfer students. If you are interested in applying for the Fall of 2009 you may also contact the Office of Admission for more information regarding which majors are currently open to late applications through June 1st.”

As far as some of us receiving “Admission Approved” and others not receiving an update, this is what they have to say:

“If you know of people who have recieved notification from our office regarding their transfer application but you have not, don’t stress. We don’t send out all of the decisions at once. We admit as we go. Infact, we will continue to admit transfer students on a rolling basis until we fill up.”

As far as Financial Aid is concerned:

“It always depends on how busy financial aid is - this time of year it should just be another week… maybe less (remember to consider mail time - if you live far away it will take longer).”

Chappenings

Wow, I didn’t even know they were still allowing transfers to apply. Wasn’t the deadline March 1st? Maybe they’re low in transfers this year or something. Thanks for the update!

Nope, as far as I know, they have always accepted late applications. Chapman’s website clearly states you are welcome to apply until June 1 but will only be considered if there is space available. For example, Film Production may be full and they won’t even have a chance to be considered, and given how popular Film Production is, that may very well be the case.

linsper, what’s going on with your USC application? Are you on the “committee” status?

Oh I see.

Yeah, I’m still on that status. How about you? I think we’ll be getting a decision either this week or next for USC.

Maybe you will. I’m still on the first update which says they’re reviewing my application and that transfers should hear by June 1.

It’s hard to remain positive for both schools. For USC, you and others already have the “committee” status and for Chapman, Film Production transfers have already heard. I understand there’s no “order” they’re going by, but what can you do?

If I don’t hear anything this week, I’m saying so long to higher education and going live in Cambodia.

one-way-What?! They already heard?! Where did you hear that??? I don’t know if I should take this as a good or bad thing. =/

jcaroll6-Have fun in Cambodia.

ya what do you mean they have already heard…Im one and I havent heard yet…that doesnt make sense.

Haha, bad wording. I meant some Film Production transfers have already started hearing; monkarrr, for one. Don’t shoot me, guys.

You got me worried for a second there. It’s all good. Haha.

“Wait…Film production majors have already heard?!”

Joe puts gun to his own head “*** it!”

One-way comes running in “No no no Joe, don’t do it! It was just a typo, thats all. A simple mistake. What I meant to say was some transfe…”

*BANG!

(*Evil laugh) “HAHAHAHAHA another one bites the dust”-Chapman Admissions

What evil dark humor you have going on. I bet admissions would love that.

It’s going to be a fun first day of school if we all get in, let me tell you that much…

Definitely! I’ll see you in the dorms and be like “hi one-way. Nice seeing you after talking to ya a few times on Student Films last year and College Confidential this year.” =P

Seriously though, I’d be excited!! Meet new friends, have your first assignment, the list goes on and on.

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but yes, it would fantastic.
