nrfoster7: I applied to USC, still no word.

monkarrr: USC does accept transfers, I don’t know where you heard that.

I’m getting worried that others have heard about their acceptances, while I still haven’t. Maybe they’re updating the status for those who got accepted, not the ones who didn’t. I hate this.

wutttt D: the people i talked to must have been on crack. and ill post as soon as get the letter D: ill srsly hurt someone if it says admission approved but get a reject letter bahhh

ahhhh dont say that one way haha have faith that they are still accepting transfers. dont close doors when theyre still open. plus i would like to still think they are, i mean monkarr just found out today…so i think there is still hope.

Also let us know when the letter was postmarked. Every little bit of detail helps.

I don’t mean to be negative. I actually got a rejection letter from NYU yesterday. It’s the first letter from any college I’ve ever received, and it was a rejection. I didn’t really want to go to NYU, I wanted to stay local, but still… knowing one school didn’t accept you makes you so much more insecure for others.

ya i know what youre saying, I mean I got into UCI but I got rejected from UCLA…so I know how you feel. I think every school is looking for something different. But give it til the middle of next week to lose hope I would think. Trust me Chapman seems like the place for everyone.

Chapman is my kind of school. I’ve been there twice, and I’ve read so much about the school that I can pretty much work as a tour guide. It just feels right for me to go there. I’m just tired of logging in and out of WebAdvisor and seeing the same old “File Complete, Decision Pending.”

i just checked the mail box D: tons of junk but nothing from Chapman

ya i know what you mean, im like “ok its been the same since march 12th people!” and I know - one of the colleges I go to now is in orange up the street from Chapman (SCC) and my boyfriend goes to grad school in the P.T. building at Chapman…so Im very familiar with the school…ahhh but then again i dont want to talk it all up if theyre going to turn me down haha…i dont think any more action is going to happen today…theyre closing in like 6 mins…i guess well be back to this tomorrow.

First time poster here. Wish I would have been made aware of this thread sooner. It’s comforting to know that I’m not the only one painstakingly waiting for a letter.

Anyways, my name is Joe, I have a cumulative GPA of 3.5, I’m 22, and I’ll have my AA by June. I go to Goldenwest College in Huntington Beach (30 minutes from Orange). I applied to Chapman and Loyola for the Fall 2009 semester and haven’t heard a thing back from either school.

I know it’s getting late in the decision time, and that this most likely means I wasn’t accepted (my logic being that they probably accept the applicants with the strongest profiles first and then work there way down) but I was wondering if you guys think I still have a chance. I’ve taken a few film classes, worked on a TV show for about a year, and provided some good letters of rec.

Heres my video. It’s lame and corny, I know; but as someone else mentioned, if I already knew how to make a great film, I wouldn’t be going to film school.

Other than that, I’ll try and be a regular poster, and good luck to everyone! :)

PS I’ve been rejected from LMU film school once before I don’t know if I can handle it again.

In case anyone cares lol, here is the second video I made for Chapman. I didn’t submit it though, because I did not think that they would understand the humor.

jacaroll6: I only know of one transfer in this thread who received “Admission Approved” as their status, and they haven’t even received a letter. You’re not out of the game, pretty much neither of us have heard yet.

Trust me bro…I hope to god your right!

I did get some news from Chapman today though!

My finnancial aide was rejected! YAAAY looks like i get to go $100,000 in debt now!

What do you mean - you got financial aid before a letter of admissions? That doesn’t make sense…

How did you get news on your financial aid? I thought you were supposed to hear from school then the aid?

To all you transfers: I don’t even know you guys, and following this thread I’ve become really nervous and anxious for you all; I just don’t know why this is taking so long for you. I’ll be following your progress because you all seem so earnest and deserving…really, may you have great news soon!

Sorry false alarm. That was just the FASFA. Needless to say, I didn’t get it.

Chapman is usually pretty generous with aid. Just be patient.

O man, if Chapman only knew how bad I wanted to get in. If I could like put that emotion into a jar and send it to them, I would for sure be in. As well as how dedicated and passionate I am about the arts. Anyone have a way of jamming that into a jar??

Actually…I might. First of all I’m going to need you to send me DNA sample, your fingerprints, and a shot of tequilla…make that two shots of tequilla and corona (I mean it is cinco de mayo)
