Film School Help and Direction

Hello,

I am a current sophomore declared as a Chinese major while simultaneously pursuing the creation of a Film Production major at Georgetown Univ, and have recently decided to transfer into film school. The decision came as late as it has, as I have been trying my best to embrace the importance of a liberal education, and not any liberal education, but one at one of the best Universities in the country, but I have made the final decision, Film is want to go into. While Georgetown is helping its best to do film , it sadly does not have any student base that takes film as seriously as I do (I know this as I have created a film club on campus, made two films in it, and am the only person who actually puts the work in it). Thus while I am trying my best to create this Film major at Georgetown, it seems quite pointless for not only could I be specializing in film production at another school, hopefully a good one, but establish relationships with others who are as driven and collaborative as I am in film. Aside from a few other worries, this is the primary catalyst to leave. So I must ask a few questions and give a little more information about myself.

First my academic stats
High school GPA: I think 3.8 to 4.0 weighted, however, this is also amongst 3 different high schools
GPA: 3.386
SATs: I think 1910 overall, 700 Math, 570 Critical, 640 Verbal
APs: 4 in AB Calc, 4 Micro, 2 Macro
Major: Again is Chinese Mandarin, and I am a sophomore in level 3 Chinese

Second regarding my history with film.
1) I was the founder and president of the film club at my last high school which created 3 major films each about 20 minutes to half an hour long, each well received from the entire school
2)I have attended a film directing and producing workshop last summer at USC for a month and a half, which I created 3 short films (less than 5 to 7 minutes each). Left with an A- grade if that says anything. Great learning experience and my last film was received very well by the class and professor.
3) I have created an independent film club here at Georgetown, which has now created 2 short films, one of which has two edits, so perhaps 3 films
4)I have interned at SilverDocs International film fest as a press intern last summer for two months
5) I have interned for Snagfilms.com documentary movie website for a few months as a research and outreach intern
6) I have taken one film course each semester for the past 4 semesters, each receiving A's in thus far.

So now my questions

1) Should I even leave Georgetown to go to Film school, or finish off Georgetown for the remaing 2 years; Is going to Film school really going to make the difference regarding social life and a later industry life?
2) As I am someone who wants to work as either an artist or a manager on a set BUT NOT in an office, is this something to consider when looking into film schools? As does everyone eventually have to work in the office, thus being an irrelevant worry?
3) What are my chances for getting into Film schools such as NYU or Columbia? (I mention those two as they are the only two major prestigious schools I am aware of with some focus on film, that havent had their transfer deadlines approach yet)
4) As I am wanting to work on a grass roots level, on site, actually in production, and not from an office level in the film business, is dropping Chinese as a major insane? Is Chinese something to truly consider when wanting to work on a set and not the office level?

This is quite alot, yet I welcome any and all help and direction.

Thank you.
