Film School

rsxwheeeeee - the Media Production program had different requirements than the Film School. I'm not sure how many were accepted into Media Production.

yea, i was talking bout media production, not film. which does allow DVD and recs, but i resolved that issue in a different thread.

Thanks Parent2noles! I'll post again after the interview - does anyone know anything about what to expect?

I'm going to interview saturday. I emailed to ask how many people are going to be interviewed and was told that they are going to interview 60 applicants (and accept 25 of those for the program).

Wow! Best wishes to all you talented future filmmakers!

Please help interpret. Last week, my daughter got an invitation to interview. She declined the interview because she received a merit scholarship to another film school. However yesterday she got an new email congratulating her on being admitted to the FSU film program. Can someone be admitted to the program without an interivew?

I strongly doubt it, but I'd suggest calling the program to be sure.

You are correct. My daughter re-read the email and it said she was accepted to FSU but didn't mention the film program. Thanks.

If she received an interview to the Film School maybe it would be appropriate to consider all costs, since FSU pays all costs of production. Other schools may pass such expense along to the student.

Plus, as a Top-5 national public educational value per USAToday, it may be less expensive in general.

You are correct but she really wanted to be in California because of the internship possibilities. She's going to Chapman University.
