Hey everyone. For the past 2 years of my college life, I've been in limbo I feel like. I haven't been motivated to do anything because I haven't been taking classes that interested me. My first year I went to NYIT, a technical school, for computer sciences. Hated this school, the commute, the faculty, everything about it. I was intending on taking science classes the next year but I decided to go away.

So I transferred 6 hours away to SUNY Geneseo with intent to do something with biology. Geneseo so far has done a terrible job of handling me as a transfer, I've gotten last picks in classes, and in the spring once again I won't be taking the classes I want. And I realized all this time I had been settling for a career that would be an easy path instead of the path I wanted. I've always been fascinated by the media, and would love to direct/produce or have anything to do with the film industry.

Now I'm looking at schools to transfer to, even though I hate the idea of transferring AGAIN. This time I would probably commute again, because I don't really enjoy dorming all that much. So I live on Long Island, and the search for a GOOD film school has been difficult, especially if I want to commute. I feel like if I don't attend a good film school, I won't go anywhere in the industry. At least if I don't goto NYU or Columbia for my undergrad, I can attempt to get in the graduate schools with a good education for my undergrad.

So any ideas? I've been looking at City and Hunter college, but I have no idea about their film programs. I'm not sure if I do want to dorm again but if I do have to I will. I also have a about a 3.0 gpa, so either way the upper ranked schools are probably out of reach
