<p>So I know that it's NYC, so film and TV are a big part of the city. But in terms of the school itself, are there any classes/majors to speak of that would work well towards this end? </p>
<p>I am most interested in production or maybe writing. And possibly directing (I just love TV and would do anything in the business)</p>

<p>It isn’t about taking the “right” classes to get into an industry like this one. You do it through internships during the academic year or summer. If you attend Columbia, it will just make you a superior candidate in applying for these internships, and improve you as a person in many ways.</p>
<p>Or you could just save a lot of money and, you know, not go to college. Or go somewhere specifically for communications, production, arts school, etc.</p>
