So I sent in my parents 2007 tax returns with the Cornell fin aid application by Jan 1, now I have to send in 2008 for my parents and myself. Do I just send in the signed copies or do I need another Cornell fin aid application for a cover sheet. Is there a Cornell ID number that needs to go on the tax return copies? I have also submitted Fafsa and the CSS. Am I missing anything - can't go without aid (or acceptance - ha).
Thanks in advance for responses - want to get this paper work in the mail today.

I'm curious, have your first batch registered online? I sent in the 2007 returns + the CFA paper, and yet the website says they haven't got it. :

Do we need to send in the 2008 taxes? On the "To Do" list for Financial Aid on their status website, it doesn't say anything about 2008 taxes, only CSS, the CFA, and 2007 taxes.

On the Cornell Fin Aid Instructions #2 send in 2008 tax returns when avaliable.

does anyone have a link to what's supposed to be put on the cover sheet? I can't find it anywhere!

Cornell seems to have the most complicated FA process...I'd also like to know the answer to the above questions

anybody???

No idea. Call them?

@Goodschoolhopefully -- I did Incoming Students and it said that I have to send my 2008 taxes only after the aid decision has been released (Step 4). Step 2 talks about sending 2007 taxes and the Cornell Financial Aid Application.

@UZZhan -- dunno if this will help, but is this what you're looking for? http://finaid.cornell.edu/finaid/forms/upload/Freshman-Financial-Aid-Applicationrev-2.pdf

Also, how long does it take for Cornell to process the financial aid documents? I mailed a lot of my stuff in early January, and it still says that I have everything left on my "To Do" list...

^that happened to me too, but when I sent my final documents, I emailed them asking to reply and confirm if they've received everything, and after that my online status was cleared.

My bad - 2008 tax returns after acceptance for final review of fin aid - I called. Sorry to make anybody nuts! I swear I read ASAP somewhere, clearly I have applied to too many schools - I find the fin aid requirements a bit confuising - even deadline timetable don't list everything

Hmm, my Cornell Financial Aid "To Do" List just says "No current to do item information found." and has the options under the drop down list: (1) Account Inquiry, (2) My Class Schedule, (3) Student Center, and (4)go to.... But when I click on any, it goes to a page that says "Forbidden. You don't have permission to access / on this server." Is that the case for everyone?

Just to quickly answer the OP's original question about the Cornell ID - I called today and the admissions rep told me that you need to send your tax returns with your name and Cornell ID.

Wait, so the information on the Financial Aid App wasn't enough? There wasn't any spot on there to put my app ID... Weren't these documents "due" before they even gave us Cornell ID's?

glockenspiel - 2008 tax returns?
