^ You are getting cal grant a.

but what if it says unconfirmed next by it on the uci gift aid page…

like:
CAL A FLIP $10,302.00 Unconfirmed

?

My guess is that it won’t be confirmed until you’re enrolled in the required amount of units to get the grants.

What’s the deadline to accept your financial aid award? I can’t seem to find it anywhere ;;

Here is what I got from the fin aid rewards page:

“You may choose to accept or decline any awards or you may opt to come back at a later time and make your selection. While there is no set deadline to accept your awards, your aid will not be available until you do so. Please note, if you decline an award, it may not be available in the future.”

So I’m guessing that means if you were only offered loans that you would just need to accept those before paying for tuition began ?

^ same question and wat about work study?? should i accept that…? it doesn’t pay much

If you plan on working at all during your schoolyear, I would accept workstudy… heck, I would accept workstudy anyway, I don’t think it provides anything negative for you…
Might as well accept it, there is the chance you might be working, even if you don’t think you will be right now.

should i accept Federal Direct Subsidized Loan to meet need…and wat does this The William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program is available to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students based on financial aid eligibility. The federal government will pay interest on this loan while you are enrolled in college at least half-time. The application will not be processed through a bank, but rather through UCI and the U.S. Department of Education.

The guarantee and origination fee will be deducted from the loan amount you borrow. You will be charged a 1.0% origination fee. A rebate of 0.5% of the loan amount will be included in each disbursement.

actually mean?? pls help! very confused…

Please consult the Financial Aid forum for these questions:

[Financial Aid & Scholarships - College Confidential](Financial Aid and Scholarships - College Confidential Forums)

I would accept the subsidized loans if you cannot meet need… subsidized means you pay no interest on your loans until after you graduate + grace period (6 months after graduation).

Ask on the forum link I posted above, they know what they’re talking about and they definitely can help you out.

anyone else have this?

"Your file is complete. We expect to have your financial aid award available shortly. You will receive notification from us once your award information is available. "
