<p>We're sending our first d1 off to college in the Fall. We have a high EFC, which we knew would happen. However, in 2 years, D2 will be off to college. Does anyone with a high EFC have specific experience with how the schools handle it ? I assume that the EFC for each child is halved, but did your d1 school gap you, leave aid the same, increase it some....? We're going to call the school to ask, but I know they can't promise anything.</p>
<p>It also depends on if d1's school guarantees that full need be met. Some schools require that you file for financial aid from the start or else you will not be eligible for aid in the future. Best to contact the school directly.</p>
