<p>i got my acceptance letter n everything along with the aid information. but their only giving me $1000 which is a loan and $2000 of federal aid. is that how little they normally give without merit scholarships? and my family isnt even loaded. i didnt get the mlk scholarship which i was banking on but still…$3000 in loans? is that a normal package? pls help.</p>

<p>The FAFSA is based on Federal Guidelines so your family's income and assets drive the package for the most part.call financial aid if you have any questions. it never hurts to call and ask just in case.</p>

I got only $5,125 financial aid with $500 Federal SEOG, $1,000 Federal Pell Grant, $1,000 Mass No Interest Loan, and $2,625 Federal Direct Subsidized Loan. Also my EFC is only $3,100. I know my grades and SAT are average but this is way too small of amount. I mean basically I get $3,625 in loan and only $1,500 in grants. It's way to0 far from the BU tuition of $31,000 per year. I wonder why they set the tuition so high if they have no money to give to students.</p>

<p>They seem to be at one end of the spectrum or the other...I got $27,900 in BU Grants, $2400 Federal Perkins Loan, and $2625 Federal Unsubsidized loan.</p>
