I just got my scores from the September Act and got a composite of 28.
E - 27
M - 36
R - 24
S - 26

As you can see im lacking in the reading/science sections. I looked up the book Dissecting The Act: A Unique Student Perspective on the ACT or ACT Test Prep with Real ACT questions (Paperback), and I'm thinking about buying it to prepare for the Oct. ACT. What do u guys think? I read some pretty bad reviews on the Princeton review: Cracking the ACT book, so I'm not sure what to do. I was pleased with my Math score, but that can't take the weight for the other scores. I'm aiming for a 32+. Please help me!

Thanks

practice the reading/science get in the head of the writers, do the reading backwards (prose fiction is passage one and its typically the hardest for most people)…use good time management, don’t panic, and most importantly for science identify which ones you dont have to read…most of these have like 2-3 tables that really are self explanatory and you waste alot of time reading about it…
Good Luck!

Hey. I went from 26->28->27->30… (I took it four times) I was really stupid and I did not study for the first three tests. But the fourth test I took, I realized how badly I needed to study, and opened the princeton 1296 book that was sitting on my shelf the whole time. I studied with this book for two weeks, and got a 30. I feel like if I had more time to study for it, I could have gotten a much higher score. So start early, and do the practices from those books, and I’m sure you’ll be able to achieve the 32. :)
