My daughter ran out of steam and never finished her Syracuse application which was a mild heartbreak because I grew up in upstate NY and also Syracuse HAS AN AMAZING PROGRAM!!! Congratulations @VASkydog !! One of the best. Also Congratulations @Griffilus a wonderful school and program as well and look forward to seeing you in NC!!!
(though we are still very undecided in our house).

Always had a certain charisma about him, but started taking acting seriously late into his eighth grade year, and auditioned with an improvised monolgue (HA!) for his current performing arts high school. Loved his time at the school and knew that he definitely wanted to go to college for it during the beginning of his Junior year.

I have been thinking about this post ever since I started lurking on CC when my daughter was in 10th grade. I’m not ready yet, but I promise - it’s going to be a long one. Ha ha! I have learned so much and I want to share for future parents. I hope that’s ok!

@ginaf1102 @actorparent1 @actingdreams Thank you! This was a very interesting process, to put it mildly. Like the rest of you, we have this newly found admiration and respect for our daughter who was willing and able to go through this. We didn’t exactly encourage her, but we did support her – if that makes any sense. We are super happy about Syracuse; she is still pining for Tisch a little – NYC has such strong appeal…
