Please chance me for Carleton economics major

You have excellent chances with stellar credentials. Foreign students constituted about 10% of last year's freshman class and Carleton has made no secret of its desire to continue to promote diversity and a strong international presence on campus. Unlike the suspicions that have clouded admissions practices at many East coast schools (the Jian Li civil rights complaint against Princeton typifies this), Carleton has always encouraged and continues to warmly encourage Asian and other minority applicants.

I agree with 1190 - your tangibles (scores/GPA/rank) are excellent. But Carleton also weighs very heavily your intangibles (recommendations/essays). Make sure those show a passion for learning and you should be fine.
