Final Chance - Mainly CA Schools - OMGoshh U MUST LOOK AT THISS!!!

Hey, thanks for taking the time to chance me.

White Male
Upper-Middle Class
Los Angeles Area
Pretty good public school. Ranked about 50th in CA & 500th in USA.

GPAs are unweighted:

9th:
3.4 / 3.6
1 Honors Course (Not UC Approved)

10th:
2.8 / 3.0
4 Honors Courses (Killer!) (Only 1 Honors is UC Approved Weighted)

11th:
3.67 / 3.33
1 AP & 1 Honors (Eased it up a bit) (Both UC Approved Weighted)

12th:
6 Classes
(2 APs & Leadership Included)

SAT: My Strength!
CR: 690
M: 710
W: 610

-2010

(Might re-take it, but I was surprised by how well I did, I got a 176 on my PSAT. ;0)

SAT Subject Tests:
Chem: 560
USH: 540

(Yeah, I know terrible. Only submitting to UCs, which arn't my main aim because I want to major in business.)

Pretty Good ECs:
-Leadership (Commissioner)
-Sports
-Leadership in an Elective Class
-Couple Awards
-Traveled to 10 Countries
-70 Hours of Community Service (40 in Foreign Country Building a House)
-Fairly Active in Church
-2 Clubs

Courses:
-Only 3 Years of Math (Adv. Alg, Pre-Calc, & Stats) - No Math Sr. Year (AP Calc is super hard at our school, my friend got an F and we have no other math classes.)
-Only 2 Foreign Language (Teachers sucked & I got bad grades)
-4 Science (2 AP, 1 Honors)
-Lots of Electives
-Everything else is good.

Yeah, so I kind of screwed up during 10th grade. Chance me! I'm nervous with my low GPA!

Planned Major: Business (Will apply business to all schools except UCSB where I'll probably go undeclared.)

GPAs:
(None of them include sports, Weighted = All APs + Honors = Additional Point)

9-11 Un-Weighted:
-3.33
9-11 Weighted:
-3.65
10-11 Un-Weighted:
-3.2
10-11 Weighted:
-3.6
UC (& Cal States too?) (10-11 & only some are weighted):
-3.45

Chances would be greatly appreciated. I have no clue what my chances are. Thankss!!

Thanks!!

2nd page bump

anyone???

2nd page bump again…

anyone?!?!?

Don’t you need Math II for UCs?

umm i dont think so… do u haha?

also, some chancing would be nice haha

Your matches small reaches looks like you have a fair chance of getting accepted. Your matches too. But one word of caution: the Business program at University of San Diego got some major retooling at the top of their program, and they’re admission requirments are getting higher and higher. I think business week had them going 47 to 29 in a year in their rankings, due to them getting the associate dean for Dartmouth’s business program as their dean

kk thankss for the response!!

ya my goal is to probably get into 1 of: Santa Clara, USD, Cal Poly SLO, or UMiami. think i have a good chance of that??

kk thanks about the usd update. i knew they jumped alot, but i didnt know about the dean. thats one of my top choices.

thanks!! any more input??

OP- You’re correct, you only need two different SAT II subject tests. Good Luck.

ok, good thanks. any other chances??

so… any chances???..
