Race: Caucasian
Gender: Male
Income: 150k

Class Rank: 17/600. Top 3%
ACT: 34C (35E, 33R, 32M, 36S). No super score, I only took it once.
SAT: 1480 (750M, 730R/W) Not sending in this one to schools as my ACT is better. Took this one twice, but no super score.

Senior Quarterly Grades (I think they’ll see my quarterly report): AP Literature (97), AP Statistics (93), AP Government (94), AP Physics 1 (95), AP Macroeconomics (98)
Extracurriculars:

  • President and Founder of Political Discourse Club (12th)
  • DECA state competitor. Competed in Financial events, which will help with major hopefully. (9th-12th)
  • BETA volunteer for around 40 hours (11th and 12th)
  • NHS member and volunteer. So far 10 hours, but it’s only been a little over a month. (12th)
  • Interned at a business (don’t want to disclose name) for two summers between my 9th and 10th and 10th and 11th grade summers. I worked for about 120 hours total and worked mainly on electrical installation and wiring and general metal work. Doesn’t contribute to major, but it taught me a lot of practical skills.
  • Tutoring and Mentorship (10th-12th) for two kids I know. Mainly helped them with Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calc but also science like Biology and Chemistry. I’ve sunk at least 150 hours in with them over the past 2 1/2 years, and I didn’t get paid as they are neighbors/family friends.
  • Youth Group Leader for VBS at my church (9th and 10th)
  • Track and Field (10th and 12th due to injury 11th-grade year). Earned a varsity letter.
  • One of my short stories got published in a local literary magazine (11th). Idk if that counts, though.
  • Work at Publix about 20-25 hours a week (12th).
    Honors (basic af):
  • AP Scholar w/ Distinction
  • Varsity letter (added in ECs not honors portion though)
  • Academic Honor Roll x4
Not really much there to be honest. I didn’t win any crazy awards or anything.

Schools and Major:
University of Georgia (Economics major and have in-state as well as legacy)
Georgia Tech (Physics major and have in-state)
UChicago (Economics major)
Columbia (Economics major)

Also, I wanted to add that my essays will either be a hit or miss. Writing is my strong-suit, and I took full advantage of that in a very creative way. My essays are definitely unique, but that could be to a fault depending on some readers. I took a lot of risks in my essays and expressed my creativity and self because I know for the top schools if I don’t write stellar essays, I have no shot. I had four teachers/counselor review it, and 3 of them really loved it, while one of them thought it was too out there. For those top schools, though, I need have polarizing essays, so I stuck with it. They’re extremely weird and unconventional, but they’re also me. I personally think one of them is probably the best piece I’ve ever written, but my opinion doesn’t get me accepted.
