<p>I am absolutely in love with Duke. I already sent in my supplement and am sending in my general common app this weekend. I know GPA is low, but with EC's and test scores and personal stuff (essays, recs), how do you guys think I will do? I got straight As first quarter senior year in an incredibly rigorous curriculum. I also have legacy at Duke with a parent who contributes a decent amount of money. What do you think about other schools? Will chance back!</p>

[] EC's: SGA President (Senior Year), Junior Class President, Editor-in-Chief of Newspaper, Yearbook Editor, Captain of Cross Country Team, Tour Guide, Ambassador of Prestigious Summer Travel Program, Student Conductor/Director of show band which was nominated for national award, been playing piano for 11 years, participated in many state competitions. 200+ Hours of community service in Spain, Morocco, Peru. did Summer internship in Boston last july</p>

<p>First quarter senior grades are sent for ED. My school already sent them. My UW GPA (not factoring senior first quarter) is 3.4. Anyone else. Please chance for other schools too! Thanks!</p>

<p>With legacy you have a shot, but its still a bit of a low reach for you, hopefully theyll be forgiving with your grades because you clearly are capable. If you pulled up your ACT at least a point youll have a better shot.

<p>a good GPA is a prerequisite and a 3.6 just doesn’t cut it, but with legacy plus ED plus passable scores I’ll make it a low reach. good luck!</p>
