<p>What is your UC GPA? You do not count freshman year, and only 8 semesters of honors/AP courses are eligible for weighting. PE and probably health do not count at all, and I am not sure whether some of your other classes would be considered a+g (tv production? photo? if you are a CA resident, you can look up these classes on the UC Doorways web site; out of state cannot). For CA residents, tenth grade honors classes are not weighted, and if you are not a CA resident, none of your honors classes are weighted.

<p>UCLA will count all of your honor and AP classes that are UC approved. 8 semesters are only for some other UCs. You need to reach out to the campuses that you want to apply and get that information. A and A- is the same to us. Good Luck.</p>

<p>Bruins, can you post a link to that information? The general UC site is very clear about 8 semesters and I would be interested to know if various campuses have their own rules about this?</p>

<p>USC has better financial aid if you’re out-of-state than UCs do.</p>
