Class Rank: My school only releases GPA groupings showing a range and how many students are in that range. My class is VERY competitive. TWENTY FOUR students, including myself, are in the top range (3.9-4.52). It can be inferred that I am towards the bottom of that group (my GPA is 4.04).

Other factors:
-Another student from my school is applying with slightly lower test scores but amazing grades and GPA. Would Georgetown accept more than one person from my school or is this a huge obstacle for me?

My interview went as well as it could possibly go. The interviewer said i was an "outstanding candidate" and we talked for an hour and a half.

-National Merit Semifinalist (224) with Gtown designated as first choice

Thats about it. Any predictions? Thanks.

I'm no expert, but I'd say in. Veryyy good chance. Good luck!

...bump.......

anyone else?

bump.

i left this for a while but i'd really like to know what everyone thinks. i'm worried that my inferred class rank is really doing to hurt me. if they really look at all the information, they could guess (correctly) that i'm about the top 20% even though my school doesnt release class rank or percentile. if you have any questions about what i sadi about class rank before, please let me know and ill try to clarify.

i hate being in a competitve grade. i go to competetive small public school, but this is the smartest grade we've had in years.

i go around and read people's chances thread... and all though i hardly ever comment....
Yours is one of the few that actually kept me interested in throughout the reading....

I think your activities are great..... prob is i know nothing bout g-town ... you have very focused E.C.'s and i got a sense of who you were through your profile

ONce again i do not know anything bout gtown.. but from reading your profile i think you are a great candidate for any school

chillin til 08:
thanks i really appreciate that.

i think you have a strong application

thanks. anyone else?

i think (and i don't mean this to be rude) that you know your chances are pretty darn good, and you'd like other people to tell you that.

and there's nothing wrong with needing a little assurance... in fact, if i could give you a big hug and tell you there's not a chance you'd get turned down, i would.

my point: you'll probably get in. be content with that :)
