<p>Already sent in my app and receive an auto admit email an hour later but my real goal is to get into McCombs. </p>

On my resume i did put in clubs like NHS, SHS, etc. and how i havle 150 volunteer hours at baylor
but i emphasized the following a bit more:</p>

<p>Investment Club 2011-2012 – Board Member, One of the five people selected to join club
2 Hours a week/ 8 weeks per year (summer)
The club learns about value investing from a professional investor and money manager. We are investing $7000 in stocks we researched (TSCDY, PKX, ZNGA, etc.), and we plan on donating all of our earnings to Red Cross by the end of the school year.
Individual Investing 2012-Present – Individual Hobby/interest
1 Hour a week/ 52 weeks per year
I personally observe and analyze stocks I am interested in. Companies that I analyze to be undervalued I invest in using a custodial Scottrade account.
Currently a stake holder in Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) and Nintendo Co. (NTDOY)
TTWO is up 40% and NTDOY is up 5.6%</p>

<p>yeah youre in… i wish i could explain better. but your stats are good and good extracirriculars. I’d say youre in.
Im applying also, got admitted to the school already (in-state) but we probably wont hear back until next year about McCombs :/</p>

<p>I think you have great chances of getting in. Your stats are fine, but your ECs really illustrate your interests and set you apart. I’m sure you’ll do fine, good luck</p>

<p>I would say it’s a match, almost a safety. I don’t understand why would you would even have people chancing you seeing as you look like a perfectly good candidate who could even get offered scholarship money haha! Good luck to you I’m sure you’ll be fine!</p>

<p>I could be wrong, but I believe one needs a top 3% class rank to get into McCombs.</p>

Yeah my rank is definitely something I’m worried about. Had I been even in the top 5% I would feel better but 5.9% seems to be what I’ll end up at. I looked at the data last year the average rank for admitted students was 5.7% and the average rank for students who accepted was 6.4%. I kind of wish my rank was a bit higher</p>

<p>Okay, you are right, the average is 5.7 GPA and 1322 on the SAT.</p>

<p>Although, your AP scores are not the best in Spanish, English Lang and History, which are all important to the major, I think you will do fine, since you seem to have taken plenty of AP classes.</p>

<p>definitely not a safety, I don’t think people realize how much more competitive McCombs is than UT in general. Being said, I think you have a good chance with your test scores and EC’s. I wouldn’t be extremely worried</p>
