Essays are very good...one is about the Bethlehem Children's Home and the other is about my cooking experiences...anyone want to read them?

And majoring in Mathematics...if that affects anything.

You’re going to get accepted.

I would guess that you are a likely in, but I do believe that your CR score is below their bottom 25 percentile, which is usually reserved for recruited athletes and others with similar hooks. I would say you have a good shot, but I don’t know how they view a student who is exceptional in every area, but then has a low test score, and thefore can’t really guess what effect, if any, this would have.

They wouldn’t base an acceptance off a single number would they? My reading score is extremely off as well.

^ No, they have a holistic policy, but I’ve heard that most schools do show concern when a student score below the 25th percentile in any given category.

nooooo

am i effed already?

that definitely gave me a mini-heart attack. isn’t the 25th percentile there to show that 25% of their class doesn’t have great SAT scores? that’s what i have always hoped. i don’t think that 25% of their class is a recruited athlete. that would make me screwed :(

anyway i don’t think you have too much to worry about. i think it is a low reach/match depending on your essays

I always was told that its what you need to shot to score above, but in this case, since he is an applicant from an NC public school, I think he has a definite shot. I was just pointing out that my main point of concern would be the CR score.

I feel like while they make question the CR score, they will not solely deny or defer him based on that. My opinion is that you will get in.
