I just want to make sure of my chances before I hit the submit for some of these schools. I'm just not sure whether I should apply to some of these or not cause of my unbalanced stats.

And any other suggestions for schools that offer strong business or engineering programs that might be a match for me?

I think you have a good chance, especially since you ar ranked 2nd in a class of 336. Just explain why you didn't do so well on the standardized tests.

You AP scores are a bit low but I would say Safeties: University of San Diego, Matches: Uni Wash, UMich, Loyola Marymount, Reaches:USC, Northwestern, and University of Chicago

hey its my first post!
i'm looking at the same colleges, you'll probably get in everywhere but northwestern and uchicago for sure, your class rank is really good!

I think you have high chances for most of these schools because you are applying from Nevada, and (being a high school student there) the competition isn't as stiff as it is in like California or New York because students tend not to care as much (UNLV:(). That being said, your ACT score is kinda just ok which means you can probably get into Loyola, USC could go either way (alot of nevada high school students apply to USC), U of Washington-probably, U of Chicago is almost a reach, but I doubt they receive many applicants from Nevada...Northwestern-reach, UMICH-reach, good luck:)

thanks. northwestern and chicago are pretty much the ones that I'm debating for whether I should apply for or not...i don't know how much of a crapshoot it is...

Why is there such a disparity between your UW and W GPA's? It suggests you took almost all AP classes in HS, which is clearly not the case.

My school gives .025 weight to honors classes and .05 weight to each AP class taken. My GPA suggests I've taken all honors and AP which is the case.

That's added to your total GPA? If you add .025 times 11 honors courses and .05 times 8 APs to your UW GPA, your GPA should be about 4.6. not 4.75.

Just because most are from California doesn't mean they give special weighting. It could just be (in fact it is highly likely) that a much higher share of Californians are interested in USC.

My UW GPA pretty much changed each year. I suppose that could be a reason why. I'm not completely sure though, but either way that is what it says on my transcript.

USC is private, but if u did your research, you'd know that even then, 55% of enrolling students (or is it admits...) are from california

Even if they admitted more from California, which I did happen to know, nothing says they are more selective towards OOS. So I still do not understand how that could be a reason why my chances would be lower.

Also if I can get more ideas from people regarding my schools or other schools I should consider, I'd truly appreciate it.
