Im deciding between UCLA and UCSB. At UCSB, I have regents scholarship (6000 a year, priority registration, honors program, more contact with professors, regents association) and at UCLA Ill be in the honors program and have the alumni scholarship (1000 year, priority registration, alumni club). Both choices seem to be equal for me. I like the feel of UCSB, I like the atmosphere, and I feel I may have better opportunities because there wont be as much competition. I like the town of LA, the honors program there sounds better, but the housing options seem pretty bad (mainly triples). Im undecided in my major but will be going to grad school. Any last minute suggestions?

UCLA - no doubt about it.

dragon17- why UCLA?

I was in a similar situation (with UCLA and UCSD), but chose UCLA in the end.
I'm undecided as well, and I figured UCLA would give me more opportunities and options for whatever I want to pursue if I ever settle on a major.
Well, that, and the fact that the guys at UCLA were cuter. :)

UCLA gives more opportunities. Don't look for the easy way out - try hard and go far. UCLA is also superior to UCSB academically, and the campus life/beauty isn't lacking either.

ucla for sure... unless you want to party. then go to santa barbara.

Make your own decision.

I would go to UCSB....even though ucla is a great school, sb's location is too good to pass up!

UCSB. Done and done.

I'm glad you were able to make a decision, and I hope you enjoy it. It's not too uncommon either, both times I took I tour of the school, my tour guides passed up UCLA to attend UCSB.

HELLL YEA... GOOD JOB MAN.... SCREW LA!!!!! <YES... I got rejected :-)

haha thanks guys

good job making the right decision for you and not just looking at the rankings and going to the highest ranked school you got into. now go get wasted.

im going to ucsb too. i also applied to ucla but got rejected. but i wasnt too disappointed since ucsb was always my top choice.
