final decision help (full ride vs. better fits)

Hello all, I am seeking some advice to which school to attend. I was offered admission to both Baruch Honors and Fordham, along with USC and Northeastern. Though USC and Northeastern are better fits for me, they are not financially wise. Basically I'm limited to either Fordham or Baruch Honors. I plan on appealing for more aid at USC and Northeastern, but I doubt that they will become financially feasible for me.

In this sense, I don't know which school would be the better choice for me. Though I think I would fit Fordham better and would probably be able to have more things to study, Baruch's business program is still pretty darn good. I plan on majoring in business/finance/law and maybe minoring in Spanish/film/international relations. The only objection I have to attending Fordham would be the commute since I would be traveling from home. I'd probably have to spend 3hrs each day total to get there and back home. I'm pretty sure I can get high grades at both schools, but it might be easier for me at Baruch. I know that Baruch and Fordham's business programs are basically ranked the same, but how is the job recruitment at each school? Which school would I get more of the traditional college experience out of? Thanks!

Three hours commuting each day is probably a deal-breaker. Unless the commute is a direct trip by bus or rail, and you are able to study and/or catch up on your sleep, you will be losing too much time to the commute. Taking the cost of transportation into account as well, Fordham is probably significantly more expensive than Baruch.

Baruch has a lot to offer you. Get in touch with the Career Center as soon as you are registered for classes, and find out about what they can do to help you find the internships and jobs that you would like to have.
