My counselor just forwarded this email to me. I was deferred in December and then again in February. Good luck to all.

Dear High School Counselors:

We are pleased to inform you that we will begin releasing our Fall 2012 decisions tomorrow (Friday, April 6, 2012). Due to the volume of decisions the action may take several days to complete. All students who have completed their application and have not been admitted or denied to this point should receive an email from us within the next week.

Interest in the University of Michigan continues to grow. Our applicant pool increased over 7% from last year, to almost 42,000 freshman applications submitted for Fall 2012. Our high application volume, coupled with very strong credentials of our applicants, has contributed to an increasingly competitive application process. Therefore, we will be offering the Waitlist to a number of students, and we do expect to admit some from the Waitlist in late May to early June. If you have a student or students that you know will accept an admit decision from the Waitlist, we encourage you to let us know by an email sent to ecredentials@umich.edu. Students should accept the Waitlist offer online as directed in their decision communication.

We sincerely appreciate the valued work that you do to support and advocate for your students. Wishing you all the best. Go Blue!

Please post of picture of some sort to confirm as I am now extremely excited.

How do I post a picture. I’m not at home and wont be for a couple of hours.

Does anyone know if we’ll be sent an email? Or will it only show up on wolverine access? I just need to know where to frantically check (:

@becool just post a screenshot of the email.

@sunny It will appear on both, although one may appear slightly before the other so I like to check both. Using this link (https://heprod.dsc.umich.edu/psc/heprodnonop/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/M_SA_APP_BUSINESS.M_RA_WAS_SSS_DTL.GBL?Page=M_RA_WAS_UNIV_DESC) will allow you to instantly check the decision page, just make sure you’re logged into WA before clicking the link.

Just a shot in the dark here, but some of the colleges I applied to updated certain parts of the website before telling me of my decision. Can everyone who has a UMID go to the next step here? [UM Student Account E-Payments | Finance](http://www.finance.umich.edu/finops/student/payments/electronic/echeck)

Yep I can, I went up till the student details section. Though I don’t think it means anything since it’s not the enrollment payment area.

@lids369 I think everyone can lol
I tried random 8 digit numbers and they all proceeded to the next step

Yeah just got waitlisted to engineering… I checked that link a couple posts up. Guess I’m going to be a longhorn!

I just got waitlisted too! Ah how many students actually get off waitlist?

Apparently zero, according to college *******

Oh. Well that’s comforting. Why did I even accept that waitlist

Applied early action engineering. Got deferred in December.
Just checked WA and found out I got waitlisted.

Not bad considering I thought I was rejected. Probably won’t get off the waiting list but what ever.

My son was just accepted to LSA. We found out through WA, no email yet. He is thrilled beyond belief! So there are acceptances coming out - dont’ give up hope. We live in Colorado.

got waitlisted too - all that waiting for nothinggg :(

So question, if I accept the Waitlist and I get accepted later, can I decline that offer if I change my mind?

Of course, but odds are you won’t get in at this point.

Heard nothing! Is this bad?

There is barely any chance to get through the waitlist. Last year, only 42 students were admitted from 4498 students. So there’s no point in even hoping.
