Vanadium
Accepted: UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, Chapman, SMU, Marymount Manhattan, UCLA, NYU, (and safety: Indiana U)
Rejected: UNCSA, Fordham
Final Decision: SMU
Factors Considered: BFA curriculum; campus visit was my favorite; theater students I met; students participate in shows all the time; facilities.
Miscellaneous: no financial worries for the school. (Small class size, good theater budget)

sandkmom’s S
Accepted: Boston College, Emerson (Writing, Lit & Publishing major), Fairfield University (Honors/Scholarship), Fordham LC (Scholarship), Hofstra (Honors/Scholarship/Safety), NYU Tisch, SUNY Binghamton (Financial Safety).
Rejected: Emerson BA Theatre & Honors Program
Final Decision: Fordham LC Theatre
Factors Considered: Audition BA Performance/Playwriting tracks; NYC location; Jesuit education and core curriculum.
Miscellaneous: Nobody understands how he could pass up NYU (the only BFA he auditioned for) but he’s always been one to carve his own path and actually decided on Fordham before we found out about the scholarship they gave him. I think he may look at NYU again in the future for an MFA but Fordham is the best undergraduate fit for him and H & I are thrilled.

Drama
Accepted: Fordham (BA), Marymount Manhattan (BFA), NYU Tisch (BFA), USC (BFA), Roosevelt CCPA (BFA), LIPA, Pace (BA), Emerson (Public relations)
Waitlist: none
Rejections: BU, CMU, Juilliard
Final Decision: USC
Factors considered: small size of BFA class; campus; few GE requirements; intensity of program; performance opportunities on and off campus; los angeles weather/location
Miscellaneous: it was between USC and Tisch for me - I decided on USC because it had fewer GE requirements, it has a smaller BFA class, and it has a beautiful campus; more school spirit than NYU. The hardest part of choosing USC over Tisch was giving up on the chance to live in New York for 4 years, which has been a dream for a long time, however I ended up choosing the program that better suits me - and I know that I will fall in love with LA after living there for a few months.
