<p>be more specific with 'towers'...
knox or hartwick towers you're going to be right by campus, about a 10-minute walk to the center of campus.
university towers (i'm assuming this is where you'll be) is a few miles shuttle bus ride away from campus. it is REALLY nice though, just a year old and with lots of amenities. you'll have a harder time meeting people there than you would living closer to campus.</p>
<p>you say you're a big partier, i think your best best is to start talking to people in your classes or your floor and try to meet people that way. at least find out about things that are going on. join a fraternity/sorority. if you go out of your way to meet people, i'm sure you'll be fine.</p>
