So excited for this Michigan-Syracuse battle tonight. I think Michigan has a good chance but this game is almost a toss up. Can they deal with the zone - hopefully they shoot it well.

No matter what happens its amazing that they are at the Final Four.

Oh and we haven’t heard from entenduintransit…is it Syracuse or Michigan for you? - the hometown favorite or support the current school!

I’ve just decided to go into it 50-50 and be happy with whoever wins. :)

So essentially, yes, I am taking the easy way out!

I get that , makes sense. Should be a great game and you’ll have someone to root strongly for in the final either way! Go Blue!

I like it! This team is awesome. I wonder how we match up against Louisville.

Awesome game. Almost gave it away. I think Louisville will be a slight favorite, maybe 4-5 points. No question MIchigan can win…and be National Champs…Wow!

As far as I am concerned Bigdoglover, this team has already won! Those kids were the youngest group in the tournament. Win or lose on Monday, they are winners. Of course, beating Louisville would be awesome! Talk about program revival.

For sure - my D goes to HS that Stauskas went to last year - they are organizing a big viewing party for Monday. He has been great this year but awful tonight…hope he comes back big on Monday night

Looking forward to Monday night. Go Blue!!

Amen, Alexandre!! Those kids are fantastic!

This is a fantastic time to be a new member of the Michigan family. Last night was the first basketball game I’ve ever watched (I’m more of a football girl). But you can be sure I’ll be watching Monday night!

Alexandre - Of course they have already accomplished quite a lot, but for me, I want them to seal the deal and win tomorrow night. I was a student at UMich the last time we went to the Final Four (twice!) and both times (as I’m sure you know) we lost in the Final Game. That hurt. Calling a time-out with no timeouts left REALLY hurt. sigh. What a way to lose a game. I’m not blaming, I’m not whining, people make mistakes all of the time. But wow, to lose in the Final game one year, get back, and then lose in the final game again…it was all too much.

We haven’t ‘closed out’ since 1989 and, although the kids should be commended, I am sure that it will feel a LOT more like victory if they go ahead and finish off Louisville on Monday, rather than come up 2nd once again…

D is at final four with a ticket in the student section. She told me she was so nervous the last minute that she sat on the floor staring up at the ceiling because she was too nervous to watch. Win or lose Monday night, this team has already proven to be champions. That being said, a win would be awesome. Amazingly, Michigan has won five games in the tournament, without ever having a game where all their big guns played at their best. Hopefully, that will happen against Loserville (sorry, I didn’t began to hate Louisville until just before midnight last night).

It’s encouraging that Michigan still beat a strong Syracuse team without a particularly stunning showing from Burke, Stauskas, or a couple of others, but I do think they’ll be in trouble on Monday if they don’t come out a little hotter than they did last night, shooting-wise.

Mitch McGary is a star in the making. He’s the only one who has been playing consistently good all tournament.

and I think Spike Albrecht is underrated. He only ever gets a few minutes on the floor, but whenever he’s in he does serious damage.

I don’t think I stopped screaming and/or crying for the last 3 minutes of that game. Can’t wait for the tip tomorrow night! Go Blue!

I agree with the comment on Albrecht. Can you believe he was about to go to Appalachian State? What a save by Michigan!

I know it will be tough but I like Michigan tonight - I say by 4.

Just awesome that they are in this final game.

Thanks ent, great article - sorry about your Cuse’ but its a good consolation.

Funny about Albrecht, being in New England I saw him play live twice at NMH. That is the highest level HS basketball out there. Literally every kid on his team and teams they played goes D1. He held is own but was never that special at all. As pointed out in the article I was beyond shocked when I heard he was playing at Michigan. The kid has been unreal, no way could you see him contributing like this at this level. (Along the same lines Stauskas was a nice player but shoots it in college twice as good as he did in HS - which is weird given the level of competition)

Great season for the Blue. The team is young with a lot of potential… looking forward to cutting the nets down next year.

So, how many days until the first tailgate?
