Final High School transcript

Nobody has ever applied to US before from my school. My high school counsellor doesn't know much about the procedure and I need to inform her about how exactly she has to do the submissions.

What is the procedure that my counsellor has to follow for submitting my final transcript to the UC Campus that I wish to enroll in. Can my counsellor send the transcript electronically?

Your final transcript is the final score report you will ever get in high school. If you are in a state board, ISC or CBSE, you will have to submit the score card you get directly from the board. For IB etc., you will have your own internal exam.
You could ask your counsellor to scan the marks report and send it as an upload. How have you sent you previous mark sheets?
Also, final transcript is to be sent only after receiving acceptance from a college.

I’m CBSE! The deal is that my counselor has submitted my transcript (grade 9 to 11) to all colleges via common app “except UCs”. UCs just require one final transcript and self-reported marks. The only query I have is that can my counsellor send my final transcript electronically?

oh sorry! didn’t notice that you mentioned UC. I don’t really know. Ask your counsellor if there is any place for uploading documents on the form that is to be sent to the UCs. Is it an online process?
When is the deadline? You better email the UCs you are applying to and find out. Call, if the deadline is nearing.

Nothing much to worry about. Decisions will come sometime around March. There isn’t any counsellor section or anything. I sent in the application all by myself. UCs require you to self report marks, and the school then sends the final HS transcript. I think I’ll just ask my counsellor to mail them, it’ll be greatly appreciated if somebody at cc tells me whether my school ought to snail mail or email.

Bhai your “final transcript” is just a peice of paper with your Class 9,10, 11 and maybe 12th half yearly grades on it. If no one in your school knows the procedure, just get them to give you a signed and stamped copy, sealed in an envelope. Then you post it to the college yourself in a bigger envelope along with your other necessary papers.
