<p>I got the email from Amherst that urged me to check the app status.
I checked with it and it says my ‘final high school transcript’ has not
reached there yet. </p>
<p>i have no idea what it refers to. it obviously is not a mid-year report.<br>
does anybody have an idea what that is??</p>
<p>they didn't need my "final highschool transcript" - maybe something else was missing, or they wanted you to confirm, or you just got a form letter that everyone who applies got?</p>
<p>btw the final HS transcript is the one you get after last semester of senior year - they'll review it to make sure your grades haven't tanked, and then your acceptance becomes "official" or whatever.</p>
<p>ok, so you receive an primary admissions decision some time in march/april, but your acceptance does not become official until that final high school transcript is received after the final semester is completed. Thats interesting, at least it makes you keep on top of your grades in the final semester.</p>
<p>it works that way at most schools, i think. an admitted student would only get demitted if his/her grades REALLY tanked.</p>
