I just about killed someone about my Honors English grade. She told me she would round it up, AND kept telling me I was improving but then gave me an 8/10 on participation, which dropped it down. And a D on the final. So yeah…

NY is just now getting out of school? My last day was like May 22. When does school start next year for you?

Your schools include non-academic classes like PE and band in your GPAs? My hs doesn’t count any theater arts (band, choir, drama, dance, etc.), newspaper, yearbook, aides, techs, or any sports.

Mine usually rounds up at .5 but there’s always one teacher who doesn’t. Then there’s those who refuse to throw your extra bonus points from tests over to homework grades. I had about a 120 test average but she only gave me a 100 for tests and wouldn’t move the 20 points into my homework average. Why bother with bonus questions if you’re not going to get the credit? Others who didn’t have those extra points got the same grade and a couple got higher final grades than me which makes no sense but whatever.

Overall I have a 3.92 unweighted and a 4.22 weighted.
Honors English 10 A
Honors Precalc C
Honors Chemistry A
Honors Spanish 3 A
AP World History A
Yearbook 1 A
Team Sports 1 A
Health A

This semester in particular SUCKED for me - my Honors Pre-Calc teacher basically slacked off from his duties during the last quarter. I didn’t learn anything. What was worse is that he went over the subject matter too fast. None of the other Pre-Calc teachers even got to the last unit we did (which is supposed to be a good thing, but it’s not since this entailed less time spent on the important units and more time on a rather pointless one).

So, 1st semester sophomore year I had a 3.86 UW (6 A’s and 1 B); 2nd semester I had a 3.75 UW (6 A’s and 2 B’s). Oh well. At least I still have a 3.8 UW overall for the whole year.
