<p>Hey everyone! I would really really really appreciate it if you guys took the time to chance me. I just got my third SAT scores back, and they're slightly better than my other ones, if any of you have seen those.
I'm a high school senior (who is freaking out...but that has been my default setting since I was born).
I have 7 super-reach schools.
Amherst College
Williams
Cornell
Brown
Northwestern
Tufts
Vassar </p>

<p>Ok so stats and stuff:
Major Courses:
AP U.S History: 4
AP Psychology: 5
AP English Language: 3
AP English Literature
AP Gov
AP Chemistry
AP Spanish
AP Calc AB</p>

<p>SAT: 680 math 650 cr 790 writing (These are still weak, but they're in the 25/75 range for each school)
SAT 2s: 650 – Lit
690 US History
GPA: weighted. 4.553. we don't have unweighted.
Class Rank: top 6% (16/303)</p>

<p>Significant ECs
2nd place: High School Speaking Contest 2009 and 2010 (would these awards be placed under academic awards on my common app?)
3rd place in region so States Qualifier: Speech and Debate
Poetry Out Loud Contestant: Regional Winner and State Qualifier
3rd place District Tournament: Speech and Debate
Volunteering: ~150 hrs out of school
In-school volunteering:
School community service club 9,10,11,12
SADD: 9,10,11,12 (secretary) (VP senior year)
Key Club: Vice President 4 years
Other extra currics:

<p>I have always been a very unique person, and I really don't want my SAT scores to hurt my chances!</p>

<p>do I have ANY chances at the colleges I'm applying to? I also have a few safeties for me, so I'm alright in that area.</p>

<p>You look solid on Northwestern and Brown but its Brown and its an Ivy so you might never know
The liberal Arts colleges would greatly emphasize on your ECs and then there is of course the essays and recommendations

<p>you have a decent shot everywhere, assuming your essays and recommendations are very good. Your scores might not be the best, but your EC’s indicate that you’ve shown focus.</p>

<p>i’d say vassar’s within reach and so is cornell probably, and possibly brown; i don’t really know williams but the rest are reaches, mainly because of your SAT which is a little low for these schools. your ECs and grades look great though, so you really have chances at all of them. good luck! :)</p>
