Final SCEA Chances

Ok, now that my stats and activities are pretty much finalized.....

I come from a very competitive public school in Coppell, TX (part of DFW). In the top 10 ranked students of the senior class, usually at least 2-3 go to Ivy League schools.

-Rank: 7/687
-GPA: 4.1429 (Weighted)
-SAT: 2220 (2240 superscored) (Essay: 11 both times)
-ACT: 35 (E: 33, M: 35, R:35, S:35, Essay: 10/12)
-SAT2s: Math IIC - 800, Chem - 740, USH - 720

Sophmore year APs: Calculus BC (5), World History (3 but cancelled the score), Computer Science A (4)

Junior year APs: Statistics (5), Macroeconomics (4), Microeconomics (4), English Language (5), Chemistry (4), United States History (4)

Senior Year schedule (all APs): Physics C, Biology, Government, English Literature, Art History, Multivariable Calculus (not an official AP class)

I have taken the most rigorous course load offered by my school.

I also think taking Multivariable Calculus will give me somewhat of an edge in the admission process since the highest offered by most schools (even really good private schools in my area) is Calculus BC.

I am also bilingual (speak Malayalam, a language of South India)

My essays should be decent. My main common app essay is about how my father's death influenced me (father died when I was 2 1/2 years old). My roommate letter supplement essay will be about having lived in two countries, India and USA, and how that has made me diverse since I have fully experienced the cultures of both. I hope to show my uniqueness through these as well as the other two supplement essays.

anything i say won't matter

Why aren't you taking AP Computer Science AB?

Upenn would probably love your profile....?

Stanford is probably looking for passion in something specific.....
no doubt you will show this on your app... :)

personally, i think you should and probably will get in, but then again i really have no idea.

You have shown your passion for math very well in your profile. You should really stress that India america living part in your essay and make that a hella good essay because you can use that to set you apart from the rest.

Wait, arwen 15, why did you say UPenn would love my profile? Also, just to make things clear, I want to major in Biomedical Engineering, minor in Finance/Applied Mathematics.

And greattone1, yeah in my room-mate letter, I'm still trying to figure out how exactly to convey my having lived in India and lived in America and how that shows diversity.

Also, will my father having died when I was young and me overcoming that, that can also be used to set me apart from the rest, right?

Your profile shows strong business acumen and initiative. ....

you have a strong case to present on your entrepreneurial spirit something the Vagelos or other joint programs in Engineering and Management would love at Upenn....?

If you have been doing this over a number of years and not just during your
junior year you probably have a convincing case to present to any Upenn
adcom?

Well I actually wanted to do biomedical engineerng with a minor in finance.

When did you come here from India?

When I was 7 years old.

If you don't get an acceptance letter than admissions are officially retarded.

I mean, you could possibly be rejected...but I think you have a relatively good shot at acceptance. If you apply to many top tier schools I can bet you'll have many good schools to choose from. Good Luck man, you'd be an asset to any school.
