how do u take such hard classes and get such a low SAT? I think you oughta take a prep course. just advice

I know, I am really disappointed with my first set of scores. I hope though my rec's will prove how hard I work in the classroom, (my ap history teacher said he will write how i got the highest gpa in the class, worked the hardest and still got a 3). I studied the SAT book a lot so I hope my Nov scores are better, I get them tomorrow, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!! Thanks!

if you get your SAT to about 1350 range I think you will be good for all your schools, including reaches. Remember to apply to TCNJ and Rutgers now as they have rolling admissions. I am guessing you live in New Jersey so with a score in the 1300s I would consider them safeties.

Thank you so much for your help! You are right I do live in South Jersey, I live about 10 minutes from Philadelphia. I'm crossing my fingers for my Nov. scores, I'll get them tomorrow morning.

Also, St Joes is a match. Update your stats too = ]

Reasonable chance at reaches, others good shot.

I stayed the same in verbal, went up 40 points in math, bring me to a 1240. I'm going to take the test on standby for Dec., I talked to my guidance counselor. I also might try taking the ACT test.

I grew up in the Philly area (and attend college at Penn)...have you actually visited these schools? St. Joe's isn't a reach really...more of a match. 'Nova is a match-reach. Bryn Mawr is a def. reach.

Have you visted Immaculata, Rosemont, Cabrini or Ursinus? They are all pretty poor schools IMO...I'd say you have your safeties in Rutgers and TCNJ (both of which are better than Cabrini, Immac, Rosemont, and Ursinus for academics...on par with St. Joes and Nova)

wow. the reason i'll applying to mostly safety/match schools is that they would offer me more merit $$$. My parents dont even want me to apply to BMC since they think it's too expensive and they don't offer merit scholarships. I visited Bryn Mawr, Cabrini, Rosemont, Immaculata, and TCNJ and I would be happy attending any. I'm an easy person to please. Also most app's are free for safties, since they want me so i'll probably consider applying to a few more match/reach schools. thanks 4 advice :)!
