Knowing this, what are my chances at:

Carnegie Mellon University
George Mason University
Georgetown University
James Madison
Penn State University
University of Virginia

Does anyone know CMU, GTown, or UVA's policies on the SAT II's for business majors? On College Board's website, it just says these schools recommend taking them or require them for some majors.

Finally, do you have any suggestions to other schools that are strong in business/finance, that I would have a shot at? My dream is to work on Wall St, so I want to go to a fairly reputable school. Thanks!

CMU: Reach

you should post what your schedule looked like as well but based on what you have posted i would say:

you're in at GMU for sure. you should get into JMU and Penn State as well.

you don't have much of a chance at UVA. (applying to UVA out of state is VERY tough)

your chances for georgetown don't look that good either, but if you really want to go to georgetown you should schedule an interview, i heard the interview can really put you over at georgetown.

if you live in PA why are you applying to so many VA schools? if I were you i'd consider Temple and Drexel as safety/matches.

GMU will reject you because they think you will treat it as a safety.

i don't think GMU has Tuft's syndrome... plus there's likely gonna be a HUGE surge in GMU applications considering their Final Four run... i'm not sure how their admissions process is gonna change to handle that...

i do know that GMU has made SAT scores optional though

I'm also 27 out of 224 and have around a 3.7 unweighted, if that matters.

As far as the Virginia schools...I really like the weather and it is fairly close to home (of which I want to get away from).

I took a visit to GMU and really liked the campus and environment. If I only get into PSU, JMU, and GMU, there's a pretty good chance I would choose to go to Mason. Is there any way I could relay this to them in my application?

For the other three reach schools...Is there any point in applying to these? Those are definitely my 3 leaders, but I don't want to waste time on apps and SAT II's if I have no shot. Thanks again!

the only way that you have no shot is if you don't apply... if you'd like to attend there go ahead and apply, you might get in... just don't count on it, have viable options to fall back on, which it looks like you do

r u a URM.........

Nope, I am not a URM. Does anyone have any suggestions on other schools that would meet my needs and which I would have a good shot at getting in to? Does anyone know the SAT II policies for UVA, CMU, and GTown? I know that GMU, JMU, and PSU do not require them, but I am having trouble finding info on the more selective schools. Thanks.

Uhh...You have to interview with Georgetown if you apply. So don't bother scheduling one, you'll have one as long as the check doesn't bounce.

UVA recommends SATIIs; CMU requires two, if I don't remember wrong.

Thanks for the help guys. Does anyone know anything about Georgetown and their SAT II policy? Also, for some reason, I remember hearing it is easier to get into GTown's business school than its other programs. Can anyone attest to that? Thanks
