Anybody know if columbia has any general cut off for rescinding admission?

If I remember correctly I think they said a 90............

What does that equate to on a 4.0 scale?

Don't they compare it to your previous grades?

I am almost certain that at least Bs in every class will be fine

"If I remember correctly I think they said a 90............"

Ummm...I heavily doubt that's true because there are people in the bottom 25% percentile that were accepted with grades such as that. What videogamerx2 said instead seems more likely.

If you were accepted with a 94 average and now your FINAL average (Not showing Columbia all 4 of your quarterly grades) have every subject in the 70s then it's quite POSSIBLE. B's are okay. and if you really did get all 70s on your FINAL grade, maybe you really don't deserve to go, who knows?

I guess it all depends on which grades you were accepted with and how low you dropped.

I was accepted with pretty much all A's and am looking at pretty much all B's. Do I have cause for concern?

I would say no, quantifyme. I think that they only revoke acceptances in pretty extreme cases. (I have a similiar case, btw, and I am not worrying too much)

I wouldn't worry. Admissions people know that HS seniors slack off and grades slip. If you go from A average to failing, then there is a cause for concern.

and remember to go from a 95 first semester average to a 75 final average you need a 55 second semester average....a 75 second semester average with a first semester 95 is an 85....so don't worry about it, unless you REALLY screwed up

Alright, thanks guys, that is a bit of a relief. Now I must go start my hours of make-up work to prevent failure lol. I'm assuming I'll see some of you in the fall?
