Okay, so senioritis became a problem:
AP Econ: A
AP English: B+
AP Phyiscs: B
AP Calc: B+
IB History HL: A

Will Stanford be upset at those grades? Previously, I had received three B's across the first seven semesters.

um, no. At least you don't have any C's. They must realise that we've lost nearly all motivation to work, so worry not :D

yea... i have 4 B's, 3 A's for final quarter. admitting i'm clueless, on top of suffering from senioritis, what date are the final transcripts supposed to mailed in?

no probelm at all! Get a bunch of C's and fail a class or two, and then they'll "warn" you or somethin

Okay, well good to know. I was never really in danger of getting a C in any class, but all of my A-'s faltered to B+'s at the end. I hope I'll still get into SLE even with the mediocre final grades.

I wouldn't think that final grades would come into play for IHum assignments -- Stanford did admit all of us, after all. Where'd you hear that?

i didn't, it was just a thought of mine.

A-Level exams suck the life out of you. Don't worry about your final semester grades... I don't think stanford cares too much unless you fail or like.. drop two grades. i might be making all of this up. i am so sick of revision.. -____-" july, come quickly.

deadline for final transcript is the 1st of July, but I read elsewhere that it's also the 15th of July. huh?

July, sweet July, wait for me. Don't leave me in this pool of despondency. cool, that rhymed.

Then I wouldn't worry, zephyr... (about SLE, I mean)

The admissions packet had July 1st as the deadline, so I'd go with that one.

Be afraid Zephyr. They are totally kicking you out for those B's. B's are for Berkely. C's are for Cal. If only you had gotten D's, that would have been acceptable. ^.^

where do we send the grades to?

admissions office

i got a B and a D the rest are A's will that be a problem?

I got 2 Bs only and rest As..woo!!

and oneunknown...i think they might say something about the D

the D might be a problem. Other than that, you're fine.

You're probably going to have to come up with a reason for it, which I hope you have other than senioritis.

zephyr, I've heard almost everyone gets into SLE ... I don't think they're the B+ police. Plus, they'll just assume your school is decently hard. (I mean, mine was rediculously easy, with the exception of calc, of which the class average was a C.) Furthermore, my friend is a scholarship kid at Duke and fellow senioritis victim and she had this really funny chat with the dean of admissions at the scholarship dinner last year, resulting in her quoting him as saying, "Well, I guess if someone failed ALL of their classes, I think we might put them on academic probation."

what happened is that i cleaned out my backpack and threw away all my lab papers so i had nothing to put into my lab book. The teacher gave it back to us the last day of school so my papers were in the trash...ahhh. I didn't even know he was gonna collect it again.

all A's last semester of HS again..... although I played CS about 4 hours a day...

lol, same here!!! Senior year was so fun!!! If you don't game, you're missing out. I gamed even while I was at school. My friends and I installed PC games (Counter Strike, Warcraft, Starcraft) onto the school server and then used the school's LAN connection to play against classmates (Or we installed the games onto our iPods and then hooked it up to the PC using USB cables). My school computer clusters were P4 with 512 MB RAM each, so they provided more than decent performance.

Learning how to utilize school resources effectively can be very rewarding.

I was wondering, does Stanford have a Counter Strike or Starcraft team?
