Final stats are in

OK everything is finally in for sure. No more speculating scores, retaking tests, or anything else. Here it is:

SAT: 790 math, 740 writing, 660 reading, total 2190
SATII: 800 Math 2, 770 Chem
All honors/AP/IB/Pre IB, except this year AP English was overcrowded, so I have Bible as Literature instead, which is still a-g approved.
Unweighted GPA: 3.86
HS weighted: 4.79
UC weighted: 4.29
Ranked 25/787 in a large public school.
Top 3% of class (ELC)

AP Scores: 5 Calc BC/AB, 5 Chemistry, 4 US History, 4 Statistics

Looking at that you might be wondering why I'm worried...well that's because my EC's are few and lame, I have no volunteer work, no leadership positions, and very few clubs at school.

EC's/Clubs/etc.:
Kendama club (just for fun)
CSF (3 yrs)
Mathletes (my only good one, all 4 years with some awards)
Guitar (five years, just now starting to give lessons - should I bother mentioning this on my apps?)
Started golf lessons over the summer, practice 2 hrs/week or so

I am a white male California resident planning to major in engineering. I am applying to:

Cal Poly SLO, UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, and possibly USC, though I'm guessing I have only a small shot there due to my lack of EC's outside of school. I figure I'm in at SLO, SB and Irvine, so you can just evaluate the other four if you'd like. Any help or input would be appreciated.

mercinator:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCI/UCSB: Safety

bump...........

I'll go out on a limb and say you have a good shot everywhere. You've done a fine job.

bump...anybody else?

In everywhere

So far all positive, sweet...anyone have something different to say? How about USC specifically?

Definately put the guitar. I think that's good. Your ECs really are not all that weak, just below average for this site.

I think you have a great chance at USC.

Anyone else? Oh I forgot to mention I'm hoping for some kind of merit cash or scholarships or something from USC, seeing how they are more expensive. If the cost would be significantly more than for a UC I wouldn't go, so if I were to get in to USC, any chance I could get some money? Someone told me privates are more willing to give it out because they have it...

bump, anyone else?

bump...........

bump...........

Definitely in for all UC's unless you decide to pull a one-liner for your personal statement.
By the way, good job.

All right, sounds pretty good. I'm glad my lack of EC's will not shoot me down like I was worried it might. Thanks for the input.

dude...at some reaches...Northwestern and Cornell.
