I got accepted to UMD. I know this question has been asked many times over the past few years. However, I haven’t figured out what is actually true. Can anybody tell me with ABSOLUTE certainty if I NEED to send in final transcripts. And if they do are they just checking to make sure you graduated or see if you got any Ds or Fs. Also technically I am a Spring Admit, will this be different for sending in final transcript compared to fall admits?
http://www.admissions.umd.edu/admitted/AdmittedSpringFreshmen.php says that you must submit your final high school transcript. Colleges generally want to see that you completed your previously reported in-progress course work and did reasonably well at it.
Check if your admission letter includes any conditions about your academic performance in senior year (e.g. minimum GPA, no D or F grades, etc.).
If it’s that urgent and you need that specific, good information, just call admissions. Or if you can, visit the admissions office on campus. Because you don’t want to leave something like this up to college confidential
