Final transcript to UF

Does anybody know what UF is looking for on your final transcript that they require you to send in towards the end of senior year? Do they only look at your core classes on your transcript or do the grades on your elective classes matter? Finally, how important is this step and have you heard of anyone ever gotten "unaccepted" because of it? Thanks in advance.

1) UF yes they look at your core classes as they are the most important
2) They somewhat do not care about electives

so, lets say like a C or D in AP calculus, would that change UF's decision?

Yes. (10 chacs)

Chances,
How do you know that his grade change will alter UF's Decision? I think a "C" in AP Calculus isnt that bad.

He said C or D. A D will definitely affect their decision.

so, where do you base your response on? Did you personally have talked to the people at UF?

Nope but my whole family has been going there since back to my grandad. The D will affect your status because my sister had a D in her AP english lit class. UF recognized it as a hard class but still felt she was slacking off so they deferred her after she was accepted. Her stats were pretty normal for UF. She ended up just taking a history class at a cc then transfering the credits as h.s and college.

what do they defer you to? to another semester?

I have never heard of rescinding an acceptance after one bad grade. Your grades spring semester, totally have to be different than your usually grade. (e.g you usually get AAAB and now you get CCDD)

o i thought they only looked at your final grades

I think you send them before preview after your final grades are out. But if you have like AAAA AAAA AAAA DDDD, that might change a decision.

eh hate math.

the admissions representative during an information session I attended before a tour in october said that if you have recieved any grades lower than a C (D or F) on your final transcript, they will cancel your offer of admission. So do not get any Ds, and my personal opinion is that if you get a majority of Cs you might get in trouble. Don't push it, but 1-2 Cs will not do anything.

I was accepted, my first semester senior grades are AABC, second semester will be AAAABB. all good?

i think you have nothing to worry about

soooo....i definitely got a D in my math class

^^ If everything else is fine, then you'll be okay. I think they will see that math is not your strong subject, so one grade won't matter. Don't stress out about it.

lol....ok ya my grades progressively decreased each year in math. i guess i should've just stuck with integrated or avoided taking it at my high school. i'm attempting to do grade forgiveness for that class for this summer at a local CC, because it was a CC class offered at my school. but it seems that all the seats are filled for the course at the moment. =(

how about if you have 4 C's (physics, AP gov/econ, precal, AP Bio) an A (guitar) and a B (AP Lit)?
