I might get a D in my AP calculus class, but pass the AP test. Will I be rescinded? B/c i know some places r ok with a failing grade but passing the AP test.....

Call the admissions office ASAP, they will give you the best answer.

I wouldn’t worry too much about geting rescinded. UW rescinded a little more than a dozen student last year out of like 5580 students. As long as you don’t fail any courses or get more than 1 or 2 D’s you will be fine. UW rescinds students who completly wing their senior year… plus your taking AP Calc and thats a tough class so don’t stress too much about your grades.

hey my friend was an A student she took ap & running starts classes
but… this semester/quarter she messed up. BIG time

she has D in AP lit (she had A last semester) cuz she was super lazy
She probably will get either D+ or C- in ENG 103 & ENG 235
(argumentative writing and technical writing)
She will most likely get a C+ or B- in Multivariate Cal
but she’ll have a 4.0 in Macroecon and leadership.

do you think she’s gonna get kick out? she’s so depress right now. frozen yogurt wouldn’t even help.

^ add to that for eng 103, she might get an F. actually she’s probably getting an F. she and her instructor didn’t get along well. but she has 4.0 in eng 101. weird.

hmmm for an A student it doesnt look to good. That is what UW does not want to see. They dont want to see A students like your friend to be be getting Ds or Fs. However in my opinion I think your friend may get a letter rebuking your friends academic performance but I doubt your friend will get rescinded. FYI I had a friend who got exactly a 2.0 last year and was not rescinded from UW. Hopefully your friends GPA does not drop below a 2.0. But who knows… i could be wrong

^ honestly, is getting a 2.0 even remotely possible? i know some big time slacker classmates, and they aren’t getting anywhere near that :/

maybe ESP your friend was like, unlucky with the exams or something…?
