final transcript

hey all, i was admitted early decision to NU way back in december-- and i'm quite anxious about getting to college, both in a good way and bad...

i've maintained my grades in all of my courses, including the AP.. but i've also demonstrated a littleee bit of senioritis, lol. i've had 80s+ and even a few 90s since 2nd quarter (after i found out)

what does it take for NU to rescind you?

i currently checked my grade on an online portal, and it tells me i have a 76 in AP Calculus AB.. do i need to worry?

thanks everyone, and congrats btw to all the recently admitted students! lets go 2014!

if a 76% is a C, yes you do need to worry. I htink the cuttoff is like B-

Hey buddy. I doubt the cutoff is a B. After all, I made a C second semester of junior year AND STILL got into Northwestern and many other good schools.

junior year, but i know mnay people who didn’t even get in to publics (they got their admission rescinded) after getting so much as a C+ in a class such as PE.

admission has nothing to do with rescinds.

I wouldn’t worry. I’m currently a Northwestern student and I got a couple C’s during my senior year of HS and Northwestern didn’t say a thing.

wow they’re pretty generous then. i guess uw isn’t so generous.

thanks guys.

well i also got in with some C’s on my report card, but… ya never know.

last day of 3rd quarter in hs today! i improved my grade to a 79… lol. we’ll see what happens… kinda worried.

On another thread, a poster mentioned someone that failed calc that didn’t get rescinded or even a warning from NU so I think your fine :)

A couple of C’s and they didn’t say anything?

Thank God. Calculus BC has kicked my ass and I’m currently sitting on a high D. Every other class is an A, but that’s not stopping me from flippin’ out. The only solace I take is that Calculus has nothing to do with my major (Radio/T.V./Film), and hopefully Northwestern won’t say anything.

i’m probably going to end up with a 3.3 GPA and one C+.

that’s a 3.3GPA for this semester, by the way. my cumulative will be in the 3.8 range as it is 3.91 right now.

it depends on how your other grades are - one bad grade is not going to kill you, but it will kill you if you all you grades are below B- or something like that.
So I don’t think you should worry, but do try to do some extra credit work.

Well, I just got a letter from the Admissions department expressing their “Concern” over a D.

Sigh. I’m going into Radio/T.V./Film and they are worried about a Calculus class. I had Swim State, a Sketch Show to Produce, and tons of other crap going on.

Now I must write a letter explaining the situation. This blows.

^ really hope that won’t happen to me too.

do they care about first semester senior grades if you were admitted EARLY decision??? do i need to send in my first sem grades even? anyone knowww?? thx!

Yea I’m worried too. Iv maintained really good grades all through high school my GPA is a weighted 4.38. but at the end of second quarter I got a c in Ap physics. I applied to NYU as well. I keep feeling like they might reject me because of that one c! and I’m going to be a political science major.
