hello I am a HS graduate and my grades during my final semester at HS were not great however I talked to a counselor at the college i might attend (if they don’t revoke my acceptance) and he said that I have a high chance of getting in and the revokment of the acceptance doesn’t happen that often. I send in my reasons for my bad grades and I also told my counselor through a program called naviance to send my final transcripts as a further precaution so it would get sent I emailed my counselor to not forget. Guess what happened, IT DIDNT GET SENT. It’s been over a week and I kept looking at my application status and it hasn’t changed because everytime I check it it says that my final transcripts are still needed. I got a confirmation from my counselor saying that the final transcripts were sent but yet my college says that they haven’t gotten it. This is stressing me out so much I can’t even function. What do I do my school is out and I can’t email my counselor bc she moved somewhere. My college really needs that transcript and its already JUNE. PLEASE HELP I NEED SOME advice on what to do!
Go to the school office to handle it. Sending final transcript requires detailed address information and may require fee.
In many schools, sending final transcript is the job of the school secretary, not the counselor.
Colleges may not use application website or Naviance website to handle correspondence after you have been admitted. Also it may take longer than a week for college to update status.
The likely answer in these situations is that the college has the transcript but it has just not been recorded as received in your online file yet. That often takes a couple weeks after sending to occur. If counselor is confirming it has been sent, you may just want to wait another week to see if it shows before contacting college to determine if it has been received.
I don’t think you are the one responsible for sending the final transcript. The college will request it directly from your school.
