Finalist=Accepted right?

One of my friends is a finalist for one of the scholarships so that means he got in right?

Yes, 10char

so, if my daughter was notified that she is a Danforth finalist, what does that mean?? How many finalists are there? how many scholarships are given?

We were told there are 40 Danforth finalists. I read that only 4 are offered full tuition, and some others will be offered half tuition.

yes, but there has been some discussion that everyone invited to the weekend is a Danforth scholar

@northerncalmom, I know of non-Danforth people invited to the weekend.

Do Finalists get their financial aid info soon?

Hi,

I’m a current Danforth Scholar. It is the smallest merit scholarship award on campus, and yes if your son or daughter is a finalist, she is automatically accepted.

Pretty much if the finalists do not get awarded the full tuition award, they will get at least half of their tuition paid for (unless the interviewers really really feel that the person does not “fit” within the Wash U community).

Feel free to ask me any more questions!
